  • Robert Shoobs

    Robert Shoobs

    Vice President

    Robert has more than eight years of Wall Street and deal-making experience. He joined Triangle Capital in 2017 and been closely involved in most transactions the firm participated in since his joining. Robert has utilized his background to skillfully advise clients on middle market M&A transactions and financings in a broad range of industries.

    Prior to joining Triangle, Robert was an assistant vice president at HSBC, where he was a member of the banking coverage team, directly responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients in the automotive, oil and gas, and utility sectors. Robert has a thorough understanding of corporate finance and economics in a broad base of industries. Before joining the coverage team, he was a product manager within HSBC’s Global Transaction Banking group.

    Robert has a Master’s in Finance from the University of Rochester and a BA from Union College. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 securities licenses. Robert resides in Manhattan with his wife, Samantha.


  • Philip J. Hay

    Philip J. Hay


    Phil joined Triangle Capital in 2017. Prior to joining Triangle, he was a summer analyst with Basin Holdings, a privately held investment-holding company focused on acquiring and operating businesses in the global energy and industrial sectors. Phil assisted the corporate development and mergers and acquisitions teams via due diligence efforts and valuation analyses for several potential acquisitions in Basin’s target sectors.

    Phil graduated with a A.B. degree in Sociology from Harvard University, where he also played football. He grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. He resides in Manhattan.


  • Kim Karmitz

    Kim Karmitz

    Senior Vice President

    Kim has over 13 years of deal-making experience. She joined Triangle Capital in 2014. Kim has advised companies in a broad range of industries and has been focused on the Apparel, Retail & Consumer sector for the past seven years. Her expertise covers several types of transactions including growth capital raises, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged recapitalizations, and joint ventures.

    Prior to joining Triangle, Kim founded Goldstar Advisors, a financial advisory and strategic consulting firm specializing in consumer product companies, retailers and restaurants. At Goldstar Advisors she structured transactions, developed business plans and company valuations, and evaluated new business initiatives. Her clients included Nutrisystem, the U.S. Postal Service, private equity firms, leading middle-market companies, and emerging growth consumer brands. Prior to Goldstar Advisors, Kim worked as an investment banker at Thomas Weisel Partners where she advised consumer product companies and retailers on public and private capital raises, mergers, acquisitions and company sales. She began her career at Berkshire Capital Securities, an investment bank specializing in mergers, acquisitions and valuations for financial services firms.

    Kim received her BA from Brown University, graduating magna cum laude and with honors. She earned her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.


  • Todd Evans

    Todd Evans

    Managing Director

    Todd has over 18 years of deal-making experience and leads our Internet & Digital Media sector coverage.  He has been advising technology and media companies for over 14 years.  While spending considerable time on both coasts, Todd has a particular interest in the evolving digital ecoystems between the coasts, including Chicago where he is based.

    Prior to joining Triangle, Todd was a Director with GCA Savvian Advisors, heading the firm’s eCommerce coverage efforts and taking a leading role in Digital Media coverage out of both New York and Chicago.  While at GCA Savvian, he executed numerous transactions across a variety of digital sub-verticals, including: commerce, marketing, mobile, social, adtech, content, gaming and tech-enabled services.  Previously, Todd was with Lehman Brothers and an advisory firm that he co-founded, where he focused on advising technology companies.

    Todd received his MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance, Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and his BA in Business / Economics from Wheaton College, and holds FINRA Series 63, 7 and 79 securities licenses.


  • Richard Kestenbaum


    Richard is a co-founder and Partner of Triangle Capital and has been an investment banker for over 30 years. Richard has a great deal of experience advising clients in merchandising businesses, particularly in the Apparel, Retail & Consumer sector.  Richard is an often-quoted expert on the retail and merchandising industries and appears regularly in print and other media as well as industry panels and speaking programs.  Richard also heads up the Firm’s activity in the People’s Republic of China, where Triangle has an exclusive representation agreement with the China National Textile and Apparel Council, an affiliate of the Chinese government.

    Before co-founding Triangle, Richard was a Managing Director at a boutique investment banking firm called Financo, Inc.  While at Financo, Richard was responsible for a majority of the firm’s apparel industry transactions.  Prior to joining Financo, Richard was a Partner and First Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc.  At Drexel, Richard was responsible for a group of 14 professionals doing middle-market mergers and acquisitions around the world.

    Richard is the co-author of three books on finance and computer programming.  He is formerly an Adjunct Assistant Professor of International Business at the graduate program of the Stern School of Business at New York University.  Richard received a BS in Accounting from New York University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Harvard University.  Richard is married and has two gorgeous children.

  • Errol Glasser

    Errol Glasser


    Errol has over 30 years of deal-making experience.  He co-founded Triangle Capital in 2003 and often works directly with our clients in the Apparel, Retail & Consumer sector, but also offers a wealth of experience in other industries including business services, manufacturing and transportation.

    Prior to founding Triangle, Errol was a Managing Director responsible for West Coast investment banking activity for Kidder, Peabody & Co.  He also headed the firm’s Retail Finance Group, which was responsible for all activity in the retail and consumer products arenas.  For several years prior, Errol was a Principal in the Trump Group, a privately held New York-based investment company.  He has broad board-level experience, including having served on the boards of Pay ‘n Save Corp., Montgomery Ward, Tyco Toys, Telescene, Thermo-Electric Wire and Cable, General Products, etc.  He is currently a director of Regency Affiliates and is a trustee of the Darrow School.

    Errol graduated with B. Comm and MA degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.  He earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth.  He is also a Chartered Accountant.  Errol grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa.  He and his wife (and sometimes their two children) live in Manhattan.
